even though he didn't practice what he preached in 2010, Urban used to say that a good coach will adapt the play-calling to the players already in the system. What sense does it make to continue doing the same things over and over if there is no chance that it will work? The past four games have been abysmal and the decision making doesn't give me much hope for the future with this coaching staff. The second half of the GA game tells you all you need to know - 1 first down, 32 total yards and zero points attributed to the offense.

Our Gator team has the distinction of having more penalties than any other team in college football. We have the worst turnover ratio in the SEC. I really hope that Muschamp and company can get on the right track. Patience is wearing thin with Gator-Nation.

We didn't seem to have the players to run Meyer's offense last year either.

Gee, Muschamp, that's why they have these things called 1) hiring assistant coaches and 2) recruiting. Muschamp COULD have hired a veteran college coach that had the background to run an offense utilizing the existing talent in Gainesville while recruiting pro-style talent like a Ralph Friedgen, but nah, he chose a guy whose only experience is with pro-style offenses, and whose ability to work with college players for the college game is still very much disputed. Also, as EVERYBODY KNEW what Meyer had been running FOR SIX YEARS at Florida, Muschamp SHOULD HAVE KNOWN that the players to run Weis' offense weren't in Gainesville, and should have hit the JUCOs immediately for RBs, FBs, TEs and perhaps even a QB. But nope. Didn't do it last year, and there aren't any JUCOs so far in this class (which only includes 1 possession WR and no QBs) either.

So ... Muschamp instead chooses to throw his players - who are injured and miscast - under the bus. Wow.

May be his way of firing up the troops for the home stretch. Not sure if I agree with doing it publicly this early into his reign but hey, it works for Spurrier.
