I think Arkansas fans knew that class was special on signing day, despite what rivals thought. There were several underrated players in that class, and some had 4 star talent, regardless of what rivals thought. Unfortunately, several very talented players in that class never worked out, although it had nothing to do with them not being good enough.

Yeah Petrino is certainly a good model. Arkansas is unlikely to ever have recruiting classes of the likes of LSU and Alabama. Yet he seems to be setting Arkansas up to the upper part of the SEC.

Petrino's average class ranking at Arkansas has been 7th or 8th in the SEC (out of 12). Considering that they will likely enter the LSU game having gone 25-5 in their last 30 games, with a scary good group returning next season (especially on both lines), I think it must be said that Petrino does more with "less" than just about any coach in the country. Hard to recruit at Arkansas.

But hey, 4-star RB Johnathan Williams committed today!
