When asked by the police how many glasses he had, he replied, "two." When asked the size of the glasses, Coach replied, "Jumbo." Seriously, it made the police report. And he didn't take a breathalyzer, he instead deferred to a blood test which was administered at a local hospital. I mention the "jumbo" part because I think it's funny.

All of that being said, Gary has been with us for 10 years now, and has proven himself to be the type of coach that anyone would want to have. One that runs a clean program, one that graduates his players, and one that is an integral part of this community in a very positive way. It's also important to note that an MU assistant coach was arrested last year for a DWI, fought it in court and was found not guilty. Gary didn't try that approach, instead he immediately pled guilty and I would bet my savings account that he's beating himself up more than anyone else possibly could. He's a good man who has a long, clean history and this will rather quickly blow over. At least I hope it does for his sake. He's a human being, like the rest of us, and makes mistakes. The difference is that he took ownership of it, when so many people in his position wouldn't.

I do not envy the new amount of reporting you and your associates will have to do in the future of the SEC, but I do so enjoy reading your site since I located it. To be honest was just jesting a little with my comment above as the ever-changing college landscape is still ever changing. Just hate to be the guy reporting on the MWC / C-USA FB/BB teams. That number of teams has to be murderous…..
