As an Aggie, I wish we had not fired Sherman, he showed real promise but what he needed was an OC to help him make adjustments. I don't even think that we needed a new DC, deruyter didn't have the pieces this year to put together a secondary defense which is why we put so much stock in the rushing and the line. I just don't think it was smart to get rid of a great coach like sherman. Most Aggies that I have talked to feel the same way.

Chris Todd was a workman quarterback. Solid, intelligent, decent passer, but had feet of concrete. And yet Malzahn had Todd set Auburn quarterback records in 2009. Check your facts.

Well, actually Newton was a Malzahn recruit. He was only at Auburn the one year. You are right that Malzahn can't seem to score too many points unless he has a nearly once in a lifetime athlete like Newton or unless the opposing defense sucks.

What the great and holy genius O.C. from Auburn has no head coaching job prospects…..what a suprise….no elite qb no job…..kinda like houston nutt in that they win with other coaches recruits…..malazon wont stay anywhere long enough to develope any players…check his history
