My gosh, Willie. You think the Gators are without problems? I prefer UT's problems to Fla's. Someone there is running off players. Muschamp? Someone else? At least that hasn't happened here, yet

Just wondering. I think the only way out for UT is to give Dooley his $5 million sooner or later, and then pay a top of the line coach 4 or 5 million, whatever it takes. I bet if they upped their offer to Muschamp to 4 or 5 million, he'd be in charge right now and there would be none of this awful mess. Now UT is going to have to give Dooley his $5 million AND pay a good coach his 5 million to clean the mess up. $10 million in one year is a helluva lot of money.

Willy McGhee...

Not sure what this has to do with the above headlines, but...

Tennessee has one of the biggest athletic budgets in the country. If they want to spend money, they can. But no coach worthy of $5 million will be interested in UT's program in its current state.

Bob Stoops and Chris Peterson aren't walking through that door, as Rick Pitino might say. Will Muschamp turned down $3 million before UT hired Derek Dooley.

John, I understand Dooley's buyout for either this year or next is $5 million. Do you know if UT has deep enough pockets to hire a decent coach at 3 to 4 million after paying that buyout? Thanks.
