How 'bout the fact (as I understand it) that Daddy Arnett was seriously ill PRIOR to Arnett Jr signing with Tennessee in the first place? So Little DeAnthony doesn't care Pops is sick until his position coach leaves the program under unusual circumstances ("retiring" with a payoff?) and several current & several possible future Vols project to be the targets of a lot more passes than Arnett? What do you make of that, John?
I think it's a crock of dung & it sets a bad precedent for would-be tamperors and tamperees to follow. If UT gets bowl eligible & faces Mich St during the remainder of Arnett's career, some payback administered by his jilted teammates would be in order. Here's hoping the NCAA looks at the Dad's pre-existing condition history & doesn't give Arnett a waiver to compete right away because his transfer has LITTLE OR NOTHING TO DO with the Dad's health.

It's been well-documented that Arnett's father's health has declined sharply in the past few months. But your statements -- especially hoping that the NCAA doesn't give him a waiver -- certainly put one heckuva face on the Tennessee fanbase.
Wow, what hateful ugliness aimed at a teenager you've never met... all because he wants to play football somewhere else.
John

It didn’t take long for DeAnthony Arnett to make up his mind after Tennessee cleared him to transfer anywhere he liked. The sophomore-to-be receiver — the #12 prospect in America at his position last year —
