This has probably been pointed out before, but how does Alabama have 27 commits? I thought the oversigning rules capped it at 25.

Yep, recruiting means nothing, in the last 10yrs the BCS champion has always had a 30 something recruiting class. I think not. If you’re in the SEC you better recruit top talent. You take top talent and then “coach’em up”. That is how you when championships.

@redhog I wouldn’t say “meaningless,” but Arkansas is usually able to work around low-ranked recruits. I never look at recruiting rankings, only recruits themselves, and advise all Hog fans to do the same.

Depending on the coach, recruiting rankings can be meaningless. Petrino is the Spurrier of the 2000s with an offensive system that can turn so-so recruits into all-stars. Most schools don’t have Petrino.

Meaningless…..Arkansas was ranked #32 in the country when their 2008 class signed (BP’s first class). Saw the re-rankings today after all the classes played out 4 years later and it has been revised…..to #6 in the country.
