Sheldon Dawson Will Play At Georgia

Athlete Sheldon Dawson from Memphis (Tenn.) Ridgeway High School has committed to Georgia.

Dawson made the decision official on Monday night.

“It just felt like a better fit for me,” Dawson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “It was like a do over for me, a place to start over. I started from scratch and that’s the place I wanted to go.”

Ole Miss was also considered by Dawson, who originally committed to Memphis in July before decommitting when coach Larry Porter was fired in November.

Dawson is the 17th commitment for Georgia’s class of 2012.
