1. I was talking about people doing that to anyone. You’re the one who seems to think I view my own self as special. I don’t, by the way.

2. You put a lot of ugly stuff in there that I’ve never said or thought. Hearing things in your head that other people don’t actually say probably isn’t a sign of good mental health.

3. While I’m not special and I was clearly suggesting that folks not send any people they don’t know invites — heck, I wrote that right in the piece — at least I’m not a jackass like you.

So I guess I do have that going for me.

Shoot, I can tell you all kinds of ways you would never think a LinkedIn connection would be of use to you down the road & you not needing it right that minute. I’d estimate to have made over $100k using LinkedIn over the 4 eyars I’ve been using it, but my line of work is a little bit different from yours. However, being an open networker I have made connections with people I had no clue who they were, wasn’t particularly working in a space they were occupied in, & thought more than likely would never do me any good.

However, on more than one occasion I have benefited from accepting an invite & it either directly or indirectly helped me make a connection with a business client. For your purposes, I could see it driving more traffic towards Mt. SEC or even ratings for the Sports Source for people (unilke me) who don’t know about either of the two. Either way, I feel it’s always better to have it & not need it than it is to need it & not have it…

That said, since I’m a fan of the Sprts Source show, Mr. SEC, & a LinkedIn member would you accept my invite? lol
