@AGator the only stat that matters in this day and age is NCAA tourney wins. In Stans 14 years, MSU has a whopping 4 wins (4th worst in the SEC): UK 30, UF 25, UT 9, LSU 7, Bama 6, Auby 5, MSU/Vandy 4, Ole Miss 3, UGA 1, USC 0. Multiple losses to lesser opponents have been the biggest problem. Just like last night, MSU gives UK possibly their biggest scare in SEC play after losing to 3 of the bottom feeders in the conference.

@AGator 20 wins per year means nothing these days. Over 100 NCAA Division I schools won 20 or more games last year.

This is a very fair article. However, I for one am thinking that we need a change – for at least three reasons. The first is the way we seem to lose. In my opinion, we lose because Stansbury cannot control his players, on or off the court. The whole Sidney thing has been a mess and there have been many behind the scene problems as well. Secondly, Stansbury is a damn good recruiter, but his on-the-court coaching is less than average. It seems that he cannot adjust at halftime and his player lineup is questionable. And, thirdly, you fail to address one big issue when someone stays too long – they get complacent. I just don’t see the fire in his eyes like I use to.

That is a good record at a school with little basketball tradition. If MSU runs their coach off I suspect their next coach won’t have as good a record.
