@John: What?! You're using that POS Rivals rating... again? Do you hate my school or what?! Your bias is soooo transparent...

Just kidding. Couldn't get through the football off season w/o your site. :)

I must say I'm impressed by Zook's recruiting. Er... I mean Muschamp's.

@John at MrSEC Gotcha. Sorry about that. Point still stands that it may be a little early for something like this, but I guess the point of the article was about Alabama, which is true.

As for James, he has not been evaluated, likely because of his very early commitment he is a low priority, but a guy who received interest from LSU, Texas Tech, Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M, with offers from LSU and Texas Tech, is probably NOT going to be a zero-star player. He's one of the nation's premiere high school backs.

Alabama is a machine. I'm not sure that, in the next 3-5 years, there will be dent made in the empire Saban has rebuilt out there. They are absolutely killing it in every way.

Fayettechill14...

Apparently you didn't read the actual story:

"Keep in mind that many of the 61 players already committed to SEC programs have not even been reviewed, graded or ranked yet. For that reason, you’ll see a whole lot of 0-star players on our list."

Those are sentences three and four in the story.

I've noticed that in-state recruits are much more likely to turn out well for UF than out of state recruits. Out of state recruits seem to be more likely to underperform their ratings, have criminal problems or flunk out than in-state recruits. Three star recruits from Florida high schools that UF recruiters visit regularly appear to me to out perform those five star recruits from New Jersey or Ohio. Recruits from Alabama seem especially unlikely to perform well at UF. I'd prefer UF stick to recruiting Florida where they can evaluate players better and only take an occasional out of state player.

It may be a little early to be doing this, because not all players have been assigned stars. Arkansas has 1 commit, from Katy, TX running back Jamel James. You have the Hogs' lone commit as a 1*/0* commit, when in fact he will be a 4*, according to Rivals projections. He's been rated about equal with Alabama commit Altee Tenpenny, who is a 4*.
