Arkansas is very happy to have him, and you have to be happy for the kid getting a chance to play. Alabama letting Philon know his fate so late is unfortunate, but I’ll refrain from calling it “dirty” because this is the first year Alabama (or any SEC school) has had to deal with it.

I read somewhere that most Big 10 schools offered four year scholarships but a few offered one year scholarships.

I’m hoping schools offering four year scholarships will have a competitive advantage in recruiting over schools offering just one year scholarships. When a school signs a player they should expect to keep them and not run them off if they underperform.
