Not a big deal, but not a good idea to use UA in an article that deals with both Alabama and Arkansas. Both schools refer to themselves as that. But still wasn't hard to figure out what you meant from the context. Anyway just wanted to mention that. Carry on. : )

The signing cap came into effect regarding Philon for sure. Arkansas is very happy to have him, and you have to be happy for the kid getting a chance to play. Alabama letting Philon know his fate so late is unfortunate, but I'll refrain from calling it "dirty" because this is the first year Alabama (or any SEC school) has had to deal with it.

Do you know if SEC schools offered four year scholarships or one year scholarships? I read somewhere that most Big 10 schools offered four year scholarships but a few offered one year scholarships.

I'm hoping schools offering four year scholarships will have a competitive advantage in recruiting over schools offering just one year scholarships. When a school signs a player they should expect to keep them and not run them off if they underperform.
