Hey Doc,

What do you expect Tennessee’s record will be this year? They have a pretty good young QB, and a few receivers, so they might be able to put up some points. I am not sure about who will be doing the running for them, and I am sure their defense had to improve over last year.

John, didn’t you say you thought UT ought to keep Dooley for a third year for stability? They probably would have had less coaching turnover by firing Dooley. At the end of the year they are going to have to pay him 5 mil. to leave, and aren’t they still paying Fulmer? And just to add salt to the wound, it looks like Lane Kiffin just might win a national championship this year.

P.S. An assistant coach is just that, an assistant coach. Are there really that many top notch assistants in the game? I’m scratching my head…Auburn hired a guy in Scott Loeffler that some former Gator players have publically ridiculed and shown no respect for…..What does that say about Coach Chizik and his situation? Dooley clearly has issues at Tennessee, but who else was he suppossed to go out and hire?

John did you expect Tennessee to go out and get Rodney Garner or something? Garner wouldn’t come to Tennessee when the Vols were winning…What’s your point with this article? Yes, the Vols had to hire some new assistant coaches…What big name assistants besides Garner should they have chased? Kirby Smart? LOL!
