Jon Gruden’s old golfing buddy, former-Razorback PGA golfer John Daly has been Tweeting his support for Gruden. Yesterday’s Tweet told Razorback Nation that he had “passed relevant information along to Jeff Long” regarding Gruden’s interest. I don’t see it happening, but keep in mind that Gruden almost accepted a job at cash-strapped Miami, who could only offer a “measly” $3 million a year and could not upgrade the salaries of assistants. Arkansas can afford up to around $4 million if necessary, along with upgraded assistant salaries.
 
Again, Gruden’s name gets mentioned in connection with EVERY major college head coaching job, so I don’t see it happening Daly’s strong interest is something to keep an eye on.
