@Statesman Close about Stallings. He spent his first year at Belleville Area College (now named Southwestern Illinois College) then transferred to Purdue and finished out his career there. He played 97 games with a FG% of .423 FT% of .775 totaling in 333 Pts for an average of 3.4 per game

Coach Martin has an in your face style. I've watched him take over for a one and done (Bob Huggins) and mold competitive teams when most didn't think they'd be much. Yes, he's a throwback, but his ability to recruit (with his staff) brings him alot of talent. Yes, there were some malcontents that were trying to get other kids to leave...would it have happened, don't know, but he never got along with the new AD and the time came to move while he could control it.

There are kids moving in and out of programs at all Div 1 programs for many reasons. kU has kids leaving/shown the door frequently when a recruit appears and claims they thought they would have more playing time, etc. If this doesn't happen at your school, well, most likely they are not winning or you are just unaware.

Let's look behind the curtain.

1) Frank Martin had kid s transferring out every year on a regular basis due to his approach, at K-State. After losses he would throw kids under the bus, and blame them for a bad pass or a missed free-throw. This was in addition to the verbal abuse. This year team was planning a revolt and he knew it was time for him to leave. Not a class act, and there will be a revolving door at South Carolina..

2) Kevin Stallings grew up outside St. Louis in Collinsville Il. and was the local star. He went away (Purdue I believe) and transferred after his first year in college. Now he's complaining about kids transferring, or looking for instant gratification, by leaving a program. Where does the hypocrisy end?
