Note to SEC marketing staff, do not leave off center and western Texas from the logo. There are more people that live in that geographical area that many SEC states in total. Very important to pull them in and feel included as the SEC netrwork unfolds.
Ah, as summer gives way to fall it’s time for that annual rite that so many of us enjoy — and by “us,” I mean, “not me” — the corn maze. This year the corn maze at Shryocks Callaway Farms about 12 miles outside of Columbia, Missouri will feature Mizzou’s Tiger holding the SEC logo over a map of the Southeast. The words “A NEW ERA,” are part of the design, too.
You can see the size of the maze by comparing it to the house/barn at the bottom of the photo. It ain’t small, people.
For several years the farm has gone the corn maze route. This year, their efforts suggest folks in the Show-Me State are every bit nutty enough — or corny enough — to keep pace with the other 13 rabid fanbases with whom they now share a conference. (Here’s hoping Jack Nicholson doesn’t fit too late in season.)
