Tight end Jordan Davis from Thomson (Ga.) High School committed to Georgia on Sunday night.
“I told coach (Mark) Richt that ‘I want to be a Bulldog’ and he paused for a second,” Davis told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Then he was like, ‘No way, get out of here.’ He told me I made his day.”
It was good news for Georgia tight ends coach John Lilly, too.
“Coach Lilly was so excited that he said he would do a cartwheel, if he could,” said Davis, who chose Georgia over Florida and South Carolina.
Davis is Georgia’s 23rd commitment for the class of 2013.
