@Gamecock in ATL There is a game scheduled in the stadium on Saturday. Also, with only 25,000 tickets sold because of the storm, and most of the home crowd folks would still impacted by the storm with a move to Saturday), to hold it this week would have been a huge loss in ticket sales. Don't know about revenue lost from not playing on TV, but the loss in stadium seating would have been big.

No brainer. LA-Tech / A&M made the right call. Hard on both teams (LA-Tech loses their opener too, and they are a contender in their conference), both lose their bye weeks, etc. Just my take, but this gives the Gators a huge, not a slight advantage, going into the game on 8 September. John did a good job of giving us the pro's and cons, but you gotta add 3 to 7 points to Florida on this one.

Mr Sec, I’m I the only one wondering how the suspensions of junior linebacker Steven Jenkins and sophomore defensive back Howard Matthews will affect the game? They are suspended for the first game of the season, which is now UF at home next week. Won’t these suspensions hurt aTm? Or will Sumlin move the suspensions to Oct 13th and not the opener? If he does, what does this move say about Sumlin?
