3 SEC Schools Make Playboy’s “Party School” List

So who do you think knows more about partying?  The folks at Playboy Magazine or the gang at The Princeton Review?

Last month, we told you that the Princetonians listed five Southeastern Conference schools among their top 20 party schools in the nation: Georgia (5th), Florida (6th), Ole Miss (14th), South Carolina (17th) and Tennessee (20th).

This week, Playboy took the wraps off — get it? — their list of the 10 best party schools in the nation.  Three SEC schools made their list:

1.  Virginia

2.  Southern California

3.  Florida

4.  Texas

5.  Wisconsin

6.  Georgia

7.  Vanderbilt

8.  Tulane

9.  TCU  (The administrators at Texas Christian have to love that one.)

10.  Ohio State

In a separate category, Playboy also ranked Texas A&M and Auburn among their top five for “Sporting Life,” which apparently means tailgating and partying before, during and after games.

Congratulations (?) to all those SEC schools who were recognized this year.

Vanderbilt, TCU, and Tulane get the benefit of being in large cities with good access to bars. Most of these list are conjecture at best.

I really don't think you need to worry about anyone taking these lists seriously.

Clearly there's no way to judge such matters.

Thanks for reading,

Vanderbilt? Wow, James Franklin really has changed the culture there. Also, I think Mizzou deserves an honorable mention.
