@viciousdawg

If this were a story about Georgia, that'd be a perfect headline. But this one's about the size of the mountain Franklin has to climb... and how everyone thought he'd scaled half the thing in a single year when, in fact, it's going to take a while.

Many thanks for reading,

Excellent write up. I do think the Vandy fans are still onboard. Georgia was fantastic in all aspects of the game and probably could win the SEC and a NC. Thought the Vandy guys pulled it together after obviously being nervous at the start. They never gave up and did put some drives together. It's a long road to build a program but we are on our way. Also want to say that I haven't heard of any problems at the game during TV timeouts so want to compliment the UGA players for their sportsmanship this year. Just wish the "phantom" roughing the kicker penalty hadn't been called but at least our guys kept playing hard. SOV would have stopped trying. Wish UGA luck and hope they wish us the game.

It became apparent as the first half rolled on and Vandy kept making mistake after mistake after mistake that they just didn’t bring the same swagger and confidence into the game this year. My guess is that after last year’s controversy, they weren’t ready to be in that kind of spotlight on the road but it was clearly a much different vibe. Not nearly as chippy or dirty as last year’s team either although I did notice one of Vandy’s corners trash talking Michael Bennett several times to which he calmly replied by pointing up at the scoreboard.
