@I4Bama Me too. This is a bizzare, and in many ways one of the most uncomfortable things I have seen in college sports. This guy stepped up in a situation that just sucks and is getting hammered for it. I admire that in a person, and can’t imagine this is going to get any better. And Smith knows it.

I admire the University of Arkansas for firing the lying, cheating tool he replaced, and I am really sorry for the guys on the team who are taking it on the chin. Its kind of like watching a guy who has had one too many at a party. You hope he doesn’t fall off the balcony, you are afraid he will, you don’t want to watch, but you just involuntarily keep looking.

I was looking for an analogy in sports, and the best I can come up with is the Tampa Bay Bucks when they first got started. Everybody was wondering if they would or could win a game. I will never forget the announcers saying, when it was evident the Saints were going to be the first team to go down to the Bucs, “The poor Saints, the know, ‘It’s us!”

I am pulling for Ark. this weekend and I believe they will absolutely destroy Rutgers. There is lots of frustration to let out. Plus they are home. So, my money is on the home team.

So…he does not want anyone to know that Nick Saban ripped his heart out and therefore would never say that, even though he felt it. So he tells everyone at the press conference that it is true to explain why he would never say it. You don’t want anyone to know you are feeling it, so I am here telling you, because I do not want you to know. See? Body language.
