@MoKelly1

I believe you or someone else said something similar when I picked Mizzou to put up 51 vs SELA last week. If MU keeps scoring points, I'm going to be owed a lot of drinks.

If this game weren't Mizzou's opener at home in SEC play and if UGA weren't traveling without a lot of defenders, I'd not have picked it this way.

Good luck to both teams. Looking forward to watching this one... just wish they were both at full strength.

UTEP seems to be a popular pick, I saw where Tony Barnhart picked them as well. I'm thinking the Rebs/Bears get the win at home as the Miners come out flat after their loss to OU. Sorry to hear about Chris Faulk, maybe the best offensive lineman in the conference. Tough, tough break.

Georgia is ranked in the Top 10, but that doesn't mean they'll play like a Top 10 team. The serious point in a lot of these Mizzou-Georgia predictions is that great majority of SEC fans are underrating Mizzou's ability. Georgia may have some size advantages, but Mizzou's offense isn't about creating holes for carries through or around the defensive line. If Georgia can't shut down Franklin, he and the Mizzou receiving corps are going to give the Bulldogs some major problems and headaches. That's the critical point of the match up. I've yet to be impressed by Georgia's offensive capabilities and other than perhaps depth off the bench, I don't think Mizzou's defense will struggle that much against it.

The first quarter will be crucial. If Georgia wants to run over Mizzou, it has to do it in the first quarter a la breaking the spirit of the Mizzou team. Even if it's 0 - 0 at the end of the first quarter, the momentum (not to mention the crazy-wild spirit of the crowd) will be with the Tigers. If Georgia can't get a demanding lead in the first half, it will have to pray that its prior recruiting advantage and depth will carry it to victory in the second half. Otherwise, it could very well be a close Mizzou "upset."@MoKelly1

Wow, you are picking Mizzou to win and score 31 points in the process. I will have a beer or 2 in your honor tomorrow during tailgate time. I suppose home field advantage means a lot as Mizzou is only a 2.5 point underdog playin ga Top 10 SEC team and Mizzou i not even ranked in the Top 30. Doesn't make any sense to me.
