South Carolina 31 – Missouri 10

1. Gamecocks outgain the Tigers 396 to 255, quarterback Connor Shaw completes 20-of-21 passes. Linebacker Shaq Wilson: “We came out here and put on a show.”

2. Steve Spurrier: ”I think it was evident we were a little stronger than Missouri.”

3. Mizzou wide receiver T.J. Moe: “We sucked. There’s not a much better way to put it.”

As a Mizzou fan, I am REALLY disappointed in how my team looks this year. There is no shame in losing to UGA or SC as they are both REALLY good teams, and I expected to lose both of those. What concerns me is the extreme lack of discipline and poor coaching that I've seen thus far. Bad fundamentals, poor decision making, and TERRIBLE special teams play. USC is the better team for sure, but I feel we made it way too easy for them. Our special teams made their returners look like Devin Hester, and our secondary made Shaw look like Aaron Rogers out there.

I'm a realist and didn't expect to beat UGA or USC.... but I was hoping we could manage a 4-4 record in our first SEC season. Now I think we will be lucky if we can beat Vandy and UK and go 2-6.

Jordan Rodgers, not Aaron. Although I doubt the difference would have been significant with that O line.
