Alabama tight end commitment O.J. Howard took an unofficial visit to Gainesville on Sunday to watch Florida’s 44-11 win over South Carolina.
Howard’s father, Kareem Howard, told BamaOnline his son is “solid” to Alabama but wanted to check things out at Florida.
“He wants to go out there just to see the atmosphere, see the coaches and how the coach – really just to take in a football game and see how they coach his position,” Kareem Howard said.
O.J. Howard, who attends Autauga (Ala.) Academy, will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend to watch Alabama play Mississippi State. Howard’s official visit to Alabama will likely be on Nov. 10 when the Crimson Tide plays host to Texas A&M, according to his father.
Howard is ranked the nation’s No. 1 tight end by Rivals.com.
