They say bad news comes in threes, but Alabama fans got two pieces of sad information today. Nick Saban announced that running back Dee Hart and receiver DeAndrew White have been lost for the season to knee injuries suffered against Ole Miss on Saturday.
White has eight catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns on the year. Hart — who missed last year with a knee injury — has 21 carries for 88 yards so far this season. But he’s also returned four punts on the year.
While not starters, the losses “will test Alabama’s depth at the skill positions,” according to The Birmingham News. Bama has seven scholarship receivers on its roster and uses a running back rotation that’s now down to just three scholarship players.
