The top signee in America hasn’t gotten off to a great start on the field for Missouri this season. Now his issues have carried over off the field as well.

Receiver Dorial Green-Beckham and fellow freshmen Levi Copelin (receiver) and Torey Boozer (linebacker) were arrested last night for suspicion of less than 35 grams of marijuana. All three players have been suspended for Saturday’s game in Columbia against Vanderbilt.

Green-Beckham has just seven catches for 128 yards and one touchdown on the season. The TD came on an 80-yard pass play last week against UCF.

UPDATE – The University of Missouri has clarified that freshman defensive tackle Harold Brantley and freshman tight end Brandon Holifield were also at the scene, They weren’t arrested but are suspended.

The only thing that upsets me as a Mizzou fan is that we are 0-2 in the SEC... have a big conference game (for us) on Saturday... and you have a bunch of players out acting the fool at midnight a few nights before the game. Especially with DGB, he should be in his dorm studying his playbook/film and figuring out why he isn't getting open very often despite being blessed with freak athletic gifts. I'm starting to think that maybe Pinkel isn't running a very tight ship. I do know that with Mizzou playing sloppy un-disciplined football on the field, the last thing they need right now is any off-field distractions.

I'm a suporter of legalization... but really stupid for these kids to be doing this during the season and in a place that is so easy for you to get caught. I'm not sure what is going on over at Mizzou... from Pinkel getting a DUI last year to BOTH of their back-up qbs getting arrested for hit & run.... to now 3 freshmen getting busted for smoking mj out in public.

I know you've done some pretty comprehensive reporting on the disparate drug policies at the various league schools previously but how do Mizzou and A&M stack up in comparison?
