@MoKelly1 We had to change, too much Texas influence in an unfair conference. Yes, the SEC is a stronger conference, which means more losses but more stability. No clear thinking MIZZOU fan thought we would win 9 or more games this year, so a 6-6 year is not much less than most of us expected. Onward and upward from here!

@MoKelly1 I think it'd be fair to assume though that you might not have all these injuries to deal with if you were still in the Big 12. James Franklin was able to run effectively all season long last year without experiencing any major issues. This season, he's learning why running QBs are the exception instead of the norm in the SEC.

What has Ole Miss done to garner all the positive press. They did not lose to UCA (not UCLA, but Central Arkansas), they did not lose to UTEP, they did not get destroyed by Alabama, Texas A&M drove the ball 100 yards on them in three plays, and they may beat Auburn. That's low standards for you. So what if they play hard. Everyone else does. Stop it with the praise of Ole Miss for not sucking as bad as we thought they would.

@MoKelly1 I absolutely LOVE the change. I also think we'd be struggling equally as much in the big12 this year with all of our injuries, as well as the rotating door at O-line. We'd have our one or two gimmies that we won't get in the SEC, but who really cares? I'm not interested in being in a conference that's got a Bevo in it. Happy to be HOME in the SEC!!

No matter what happens, I think few Mizzou fans will regret changing Conferences. I know the SEC is tougher than the Big 12 but even in the Big 12 it would be a disappointing season given the injuries and the inability of Franklin to play to his potential. College football is tough in that you get key injuries and its not like you can trade or go free agency to fill the void. Oh well, the Cardinals continue to keep the sunshine bright in STL.
