Ole Miss Hands Auburn Another Loss; Alabama Remains Unbeaten

Ole Miss 41 – Auburn 20

1. Hugh Freeze is “relieved” to have ended Ole Miss’ school-record SEC losing streak.

2. Rebels QB Bo Wallace led Ole Miss to the win under difficult circumstances.

3. Auburn coach Gene Chizik talked about keeping the Tigers unified after another SEC loss.

4. A positive: sophomore tailback Tre Mason emerged for Auburn in its loss to Ole Miss.

5. Auburn’s defense seems to be getting worse as the season progresses.

Alabama 42 – Missouri 10

6. Alabama running backs Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon led the Tide to another win in the SEC.

7. Missouri coach Gary Pinkel on Alabama: “Maybe the best football team I’ve ever seen.”

8. If AJ McCarron gets up from each play, Alabama won’t go down, writes Kevin Scarbisnky.

If you can just pretend that the game prior to the lightning delay never happened... then Mizzou was actually kinda sort of competitive...  :)  Seriously though, I think that delay saved us from losing by 80 in this game.  Anyway, a bye week couldn't come at a better time. Hopefully our guys can get healthy, reset, and then be ready to finish the season with some level of respectibility. 

 

Hopefully AJ is ok.  I don't really "like" Bama persay (don't dislike them either), but I do have a ton of respect for Saban and what he has created in Tuscaloosa.  I'm really looking forward to seeing just how far they can go this year.  They look to me the best team in CFB this year by a wide margin.
