Born and bred in Florida and root for the Green Bay Packers. And no, I do not like FSU (but love it that they don’t like me much either).

First off, I don’t believe anything is going on from an Auburn illegal recruiting standpoint…the Memphis kid had issues with his test two years ago, long before Auburn was high on the list.

Saying this, would it be out of the realm of possibility that someone is setting up a scenario that would allow Auburn to fire Chizik with cause, absolving them of any possible buyout? Or at least to reduce any buyout substantially?

Just a thought…

He has, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. All successful recruiters are accused by rivals as being dirty. Take John Calipari, for example. His reputation is that of Basketball Dracula, but the NCAA has never pinned a thing on him. Yes, he’s captained some ships that have gotten into trouble, but he’s always been cleared of wrongdoing.

But in answer to your question, yes, rival fans have long suggested that Taylor might bend a rule or two.

No problem. Just don’t want to start heading down that road. The back and forth between partisans on both sides would drive up pageviews, but I’m just dumb enough not to want to get pageviews with that stuff.

People usually just wind up cursing each other.

Well, first, that’s a Google ad. They plug in ads based on what YOU have been reading/searching on the web. I, for example, see no political ads on this page. I see insurance and car ads on this page.

But, second, if you think your threats will lead us to take down an ad — even if it were an ad we HAD put up — you’d best run along to another site anyway. This is a site for objective, intelligent people. If that makes it a club of 10, so be it. But someone with skin so thin he/she refuses to visit a site because of a political ad placed on the site? You don’t belong here anyway.

I just wonder if you’re sending nasty emails to every single television station and network for running political ads, too.
