i have no clue as to who the next hog head coach will be, but wally hall is the last person i would expect to have better information. anyone regularly exposed to his ‘work’ can attest that it is nothing better than a hodge-podge of his fact free opinions, pique for perceived slights, admiration for some jeebus loving jock, and whatever outhouse rumors he can swipe off the net, all of it in such pathetic form it wouldn’t be tolerated in a middling high scool rag.

Don’t understand why Petersen would go to Arky. Absolutely no ties there. His are all in California. He wasn’t interested in Stanford or UCLA previously. And the Cal job is open now and he supposedly isn’t interested in (academic standards evidently scare him). Boise St. gets a lot of players from California that are either in trouble, need to escape from trouble or have academic issues. Those recruits are not going to go to Arky. If this happens, he must be getting Wal-Mart stock, because I don’t understand why he’d leave a spot without much pressure and far away for the prying eyes of NCAA investigators or scandal-hungry reporters to one with too much pressure and wayyyyy stiffer competition. And for Arky, it could be a repeat of Dan Hawkins, so buyer beware. As for Gundy, Boone Pickens must be a mean cuss. However, one billionaire exuding pressure seems like nothing compared to thousands of pressuring fans at UT or Arky — does he really know what he’d be getting into?

@Southern Gentleman Seems like another SEC Coach who was the HC @ OSU has done fairly well, I think you guys just offered him a whole lot of money.
