BCS National Championship - Alabama vs. Notre Dame
Capital One Bowl – Georgia vs. Nebraska
Chik-Fil-A Bowl - LSU vs. Clemson
Cotton Bowl - Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma in a matchup of old Big 12 rivals. Big 12 coaches tried to maneuver Oklahoma into a BCS bowl game without success.
Outback Bowl – South Carolina vs. Michigan.
Music City Bowl – Vanderbilt vs. North Carolina State (Vanderbilt also announced that James Franklin is getting a contract extension).
Gator Bowl – Mississippi State vs. Northwestern.
BBVA Compass Bowl - Ole Miss vs. Pittsburgh
I love that My Gamecocks got a marque match up. Most of us were expecting Northwestern, probably in the Gator bowl. From everything I read Michigan was a lock for the Capitol one Bowl. I think we just got a lot more eyes on us, now we just have to perform like last year.
The SEC teams appear to be the stronger in every case. I predict 8-1 (allowing for 1 upset).
LSU's bowl spot seems unfair. To fall below two teams that were both ranked below the Tigers and who were both beaten by LSU just seems wrong.
Vandy gets shafted. I love my hometown of Nashville but It's freezing cold in December and Vandy deserves better. Also hurts with recruiting since no matter the record they will always get stuck with cold weather bowls.
