according to hart he is making the decision so i guess we can only wonder about that. jones is an offensive coach and apparently not a good recruiter non of his classes have been in the top 50

The man can coach. Everybody was on Strong’s bandwagon. I felt he would have been a good coach but he turned us down . Jones will be a good hire for Tennessee. His head coaching record is better than Strong’s. He did beat Vandy in a bowl game last year. With Tennessee’s talent, he will do good.
Strong’s record as head coach is 24 wins and 15 loses. Butch Jones record as head coach is 50 wins 27 loses. I am counting head coaching records only. He was also named coach of the year in the big east this year.

dave hart has lost his mind. butch jones really? why not just back fooley. I agree he has played with kellys players, so how can you judge him as a coach w/o seeing his recruits progress.
look at the last two coaches how does this guy look any better. dont get me wrong he may be a good coach but then again he could be kiffin part two and bolt at the first op.
The wait and see approach just isnt working. I think its time to hire a search firm if hart cant do any better
