@buddha22 I think it is also important to remember that the same kU lawyer was the lead investigator into possible recruiting violations regarding Josh Selby and kU basketball. You would think that these multiple showings of misconduct would not only get her fired from the NCAA but also disbarred from law itself. Disclaimer - I am an avid MIZZOU fan born and raised in Columbia. That being said, I think there is too much of a pattern for this to merely be coincidence. The NCAA should be doing more not only to prevent substandard investigations, but also to prevent conflicts of interest between its investigators and the cases they oversee.

You can not write a story like this, no one would believe it. A disgraced kU law grad the lead investigator on Miami and specifically Haith that was fired for her unethical handling of Shabazz Muhammad (after he spurned her beloved alma mater...leaked by her husband on an airplane bragging "...he won't be playing anywhere...") and the NCAA marches on without reviewing her other cases for over a month and then there is a "leak" very damaging to Coach Haith where he can not defend himself or do anything under pain of penalty because the investigation isn't complete. How absolutely ludicrous!!! Imagine then a frustrated "leak" that said they couldn't prove anything!!! Emmert, your group is out of control. I said it in the 1/21 article and I'll say it now, Emmert, find the leaks and clean house. But now, it doesn't stop there. What part of this investigation can be believed when a biased kU law grad/investigator that has already been fired for unethical behavior based on fanatical bias vs kU "foes" has completely tainted the whole investigation? You need to share your cleaned findings (if any) with the universities but you have no basis for penalties...don't forget, this is all based on a proven professional liar's testimony to begin with! Finally, Mr. Emmert, you need to step down because you have shown that you have no ethical oversight of your investigations and the so called integrity you stated you wanted to instill in the NCAA is in shambles.

Interesting. If the NCAA is the police department, prosecuting attorney, judge, jury and appeals court --- then there better be some rules in place to limit the potential abuse such absolute power can cause. AS it is said, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. I admire the NCAA for not trying to cover-up their own rules violations, but, somehow wonder if their admission was only because the attorneys for any indicted coach would have discovered the violations anyway. I thought it was equally interesting that it says these violations occurred by "former" NCAA staff. Were they fired because they violated the rules of evidence?

Dispite all of the above, it seems to me the powers at Mizzou still need to do their own investigation to determine whether Coach Haith should continue as an employee of the University.
