MSU Hires Townsend To Coach Cornerbacks

Mississippi native and former Alabama player Deshea Townsend has been hired as Mississippi State’s new cornerbacks coach. Townsend has been an assistant defensive backs coach with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals the past two years.

Townsend is the second new coach to join Dan Mullen’s staff this week, joining new D-line coach David Turner.

Townsend tweeted a message this morning: “Go Dawgs!!!! It’s Official!!!”

the first thing townsend needs to do is get his "dogs" straight! The "Dawgs" are UGA. The "Bulldogs" are MS.
