Projected 16 1st rounders from 8 different schools. 7 straight national championships from 4 schools. If you want to argue about the "power" being held just at the "top" how then explaining 8 different programs with 1st rounders???
1. Florida Offensive Lineman Jessamen Dunker. He’s in jail after being arrested today. He’s accused of riding a stolen scooter and driving on a suspended license. The freshman did not see action this past season.
2. Georgia Running Back Ken Malcome. The redshirt sophomore running back has decided to transfer. He started the opener against Buffalo but saw his playing time cut drastically by freshmen Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall. Those two are now the only two scholarship tailbacks on the Georgia roster.
3. Georgia Offensive Lineman Chris Burnette. The senior-to-be will likely miss spring practice after having shoulder surgery today. Burnette is a two-year starter at right guard for Georgia.
4. NFL Bound SEC Players. A mock draft has 16 SEC players going in the first round of the NFL draft in April. The most the SEC has ever had in the first round was 11 back in 2007. The projected 16 include six of the top 10 – with Texas A&M offensive lineman Luke Joeckel projected at No. 1 overall, followed by Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones.
5. Former Arkansas Coach John L. Smith. Smith has reportedly accepted the head coaching job at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Fort Lewis went 0-10 last season.
