Today’s thought/lyric of the day doesn’t need a whole heckuva lot of set-up. From the 1973 film “Black Caesar” (as well as the 1998 flick “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”), James Brown’s “The Boss” is so simple it’s hard to believe the man packed it full of so much soul. An underplayed classic from The Godfather of Soul himself.
“Paid the cost to be the boss. I’m a bad mutha.”
What more can you say?
