Contract through 2017 with a $3 million buyout? I’m looking through his 3-year resume and I’m not seeing any specific point where it would have made sense to extend and/or raise him, and he surely wasn’t offered a 7-year deal with a buyout of $3 million from the start.
 
Coaches’ contracts are kind of ridiculous (maybe I’m just ignorant…), but how’d Auburn work themselves into this contract mess?
