Last one to do the “Harlem Shake” is a rotten egg. While we feel this particular internet fad has been played out at this point, there’s nothing wrong with football coaches like Les Miles having a little fun. Hell, we’d pay good money to see Nick Saban do the shake with his squad, but apparently that kind of thing isn’t part of the process.

Another admission: We’d watch videos for the “Harlem Shake” infinitely more times than we’d watch the Rolling Stones’ forgettable video for their infinitely better 1986 cover version of the “Harlem Shuffle.”

Les Miles = awesome personality but not very good head coach oh and 14Bama I will say you are wrong about him living off of Nick Saban but other than that I agree with you.

So, if the perception that you are really a kooky buffoon who is making a living off being lucky and living off a former coach's work is out there, are there certain places you just don't go?

@I4Bama People need to stop with the argument that Miles is living off of Nick Saban's work. If that were true, then Nick Saban would still be trying to turn around Mike Shula's mess. Miles has been the coach at LSU for 6 years - and as goofy as he may seem, you can't argue with his success. Three times he has a top 10 finish.

Miles is a players' coach, and that helps him recruit. It only works because it's genuine. If Saban tried this it would be awkward.

I wasn't saying it was true. I was saying that if the perception were out there, I think I would be doing my best not to feed it. There is a balance between this, though, and letting the public dictate how you live your life. Congratulations to Miles for not allowing that to happen. I wouldn't have done the dance, though. I hope he builds young men who are examples, role models, and mentors. If he does this, I hope he succeeds and I will dance with him.
