When last we left the taunting bad boy of basketball, Marshall Henderson had been suspended from the Ole Miss team for reportedly failing a drug test. There were also reports of run-ins with police and of cocaine being found in his car, but who’s counting?
Now it appears that Henderson will be back on campus and back in class next week when the fall semester starts in Oxford. According to ESPN’s Andy Katz, Henderson has not yet been reinstated to the Rebel program. “The plan is for him to work on regaining the trust of the (athletic) department and school before being reinstated.”
Anyone who follows college sports know what that means — Henderson will be reinstated in time for fall basketball practice. Unless he’s busted for some other off-court illegality or outburst. Which is 100% possible with a kid who has a rap sheet as long as, well, it’s long.
