Kentucky Rolls Boston 91-57 With Strong Second Half

Brandon Knight scored 23 points and No. 10 Kentucky bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 91-57 win over Boston University on Tuesday night. Terrence Jones added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Wildcats (5-1), who shot 59 percent from the field and overwhelmed the Terriers (4-4) over the final 20 minutes. Kentucky led by just seven points at halftime before opening the second half on an 18-3 run to break things open. John Holland led the Terriers with 20 points but Boston U. shot just 29 percent and had no answer after the Wildcats shook off a sluggish first half with perhaps their best basketball of the season.

UK Returns Home to Face Terriers

Following a four-game road swing, the Wildcats return to the familiar confines of Rupp Arena to host the Boston Terriers. UK posted a 3-1 record on its four-game road trip, earning victories over Portland, Oklahoma and Washington en route to a second-place finish at the EA Sports Maui Invitational. Kentucky’s lone blemish came against UConn in the championship game of the tournament.

Kentucky Falls to Tennessee

Tyler Bray threw for 354 yards and two touchdowns as Tennessee extended its winning streak over Kentucky to 26 straight games to become bowl eligible with a 24-14 victory on Saturday. Denarius Moore caught one of those touchdowns and had 205 yards receiving. Kentucky (6-6, 2-6 Southeastern Conference) tied the game at 14 with 10:10 left in the third quarter when Mike Hartline hit Tyler Robinson on a 2-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-1. The Wildcats got the ball back on the next drive when Bray threw an interception to Mychal Bailey in the Kentucky end zone.
