1. Pat Forde of ESPN.com has posted his weekly college football column and it includes references to Les Miles, the Iron Bowl, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, the Egg Bowl, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mark Richt, and Steve Spurrier.
2. The Gainesville Sun’s Pat Dooley has a football wrap-up column of his own… in which he suggets Georgia is so bad that UGA VII might have committed suicide.
3. Tony Barnhart of The AJC writes that Auburn has a chance to repeat history on Friday. Explaining why he doesn’t call the Iron Bowl a rivalry, he also provides one of the best descriptions of the game I’ve ever read:
“Alabama-Auburn (or Auburn-Alabama) is much, much more than a mere football rivalry. It is a cultural war and the participants use football to fight it.”
4. Chris Low of ESPN.com writes that Rich Brooks is hot, Les Miles is not.
