1. Ryan Mallett is working on his accuracy… and dispelling rumors about an injured shoulder in the process.
2. Arkansas hopes that Mallett can improve his on-field relationship with tight end DJ Williams. Williams led the team in catches last year with 61, but he has just 14 receptions this season.
3. Offensive coordinator Paul Petrino liked his team’s attitude at practice yesterday as they try to bounce back from a disappointing loss at Ole Miss. “Like one of my old buddies said in Montana, if you fight enough you’re going to get your butt whipped once in awhile. But you’ve got to jump right back up and do it again.”
4. Tailback Michael Smith says everyone can step up and the Hogs can reach a bowl game or “we can feel sorry for ourselves.”
5. In basketball news, the attorney for a woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by several Razorback athletes is asking that a special prosecutor be assigned to the case. Charges were not pressed when the initial story broke.
