1. Ryan Mallett has nothing but praise for his former Michigan coach and current Florida quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler. “Coach Loeffler, he was like another father to me through the whole recruiting process and everything.”
2. Joe Adams — bouncing back from a small stroke — was held out of practice again yesterday.
I know that Tim Tebow is a Heisman-winner on the nation’s #1 team, but I still find it odd that so much was more was made over his concussion than is being made over Adams’ attempt to come back from a mini-stroke.
3. Jarius Wright (concussion) and Michael Smith (hamstring) both looked fine at practice yesterday.
4. Regarding basketball, John Pelphrey — in an interview with Robbie Neiswanger of The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas — said that he would like to play a basketball game in the old Barnhill Arena.
