1. Jerico Nelson who plays Arkansas’ safety/linebacker “jack” hybrid position could be in for a lot of work against Florida’s spread.
2. Defensive coordinator Willy Robinson believes Florida has “the best offensive line we’ll face this year. Or that we’ve seen so far.” Good thing he clarified that or else he wouldn’t be able to brag about future opponents’ offensive lines when the time comes.
3. Florida’s ability to play man coverage with their corners allows Charlie Strong to draw up a number of different schemes for his defense.
4. Florida quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler spoke yesterday about his relationship with Ryan Mallett when the two were at Michigan.
5. According to this lengthy notes column, tailback Michael Smith didn’t do much during the practice session that was open to the media.
