2. According to this notes column, tailback Michael Smith will be a gametime decision due to his injured hamstring.
3. It sounds like receiver Jarius Wright will play after showing no affects from a previous concussion. (No media types are calling for him to sit out. Guess Tim Tebow’s brain is the only one folks are concerned with.)
4. Brandon Marcello of The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette caught up with a Florida beatwriter to help preview tomorrow’s game.
5. In basketball news, point guard Courtney Fortson believes an offseason filled with negativity will be forgotten if the Razorbacks win this season.
6. Fortson caused some of the negativity with his Twitter post: “Im gettin it at workouts like a dude who doesnt understand the word no from a drunk girl lol.” “I regret the tweet. But you live and you learn and you move on to better things. So I have put that behind me.” Fortson still faces a suspension to start the season for his post.
7. John Pelphrey said he needs Michael Washington to have another big year.
8. And Marshawn Powell has been named one of the nation’s Top 20 impact freshmen by FoxSports.com.
