1. We told you that Auburn coach Trooper Taylor will be facing his old Tennessee team on Saturday. Well, Tennessee coach Eddie Gran will be doing likewise against Auburn.
2. Gran might be familiar with Auburn’s personnel, but Gene Chizik is familiar with Lane Kiffin’s offense. Chizik was the defensive coordinator at Texas when the Longhorns outlasted Southern Cal (and offensive coordinator Kiffin) 41-38 in the 2005 BCS title game.
3. The Tigers have embraced Chizik’s motto for the 2009 season: Do What We Do.
4. As we told you earlier today, there’s no start time assigned yet for Auburn’s visit to Arkansas… but it will definitely be a day game.
5. Auburn’s players say they’re not too concerned about the noise level in Knoxville on Saturday.
