BREWER REMEMBERS THE NIGHT A PARALYZED PLAYER WON THE LIBERTY BOWL

Ron Higgins of The Memphis Commercial-Appeal has turned in a fine column looking back at the 1989 Liberty Bowl game between Ole Miss and Air Force… which was better known for being the night Chucky Mullins showed up to motivate his former teammates.

“It’s the most emotional moment I’ve ever had in my 38-plus years as a coach,” Billy Brewer said.
