1. Steve Spurrier said of his quarterback yesterday, “Hopefully, Stephen Garcia will put his feet in the ground when he throws this week and play with confidence.”
2. Joe Person of The State believes that as long as Carolina’s offense can muster a couple of touchdowns “via the fade or otherwise,” USC should get the best of Vandy tomorrow.
3. Here’s one writer who’s glad the SEC is snuffing out artificial noise and music during games.
4. In basketball news, Darrin Horn’s team is out to exceed expectations for the second straight year.
5. Carolina returns four starters from an East Division co-championship team, but that still might not be enough to keep pace in an improved SEC.
6. New Georgia coach Mark Fox gave a thumbs up to Carolina’s Malik Cooke… who transferred from Nevada when Fox left in order to be closer to his home in Charlotte. Got all that?
