These are the top Carolina stories for the day:
South Carolina’s season ticket sales for football are down 11 percent this year and the economy is being blamed. However, USC’s new seat licensing program should also be considered in the decline. (A miserable bowl performance and another mediocre year might be having an impact, too.)
In basketball news, Devan Downey has told his high school coach that it’s “50-50″ that he will pull out of the NBA draft pool and return to Columbia.
Seth Emerson of The State writes that playing in Europe might be a greater possibility for Downey and Dominique Archie than was originally thought.
