Did We Say Suspended? We Meant Warren Was Dismissed

A television report from earlier in the day that said Tennessee wide receiver Brandon Warren had been suspended wasn’t exactly strong enough.
Warren has actually been dismissed from the Vol team.
“Brandon Warren is no longer with our team,” Lane Kiffin said. “He has been dismissed for conduct detrimental to our team. We wish him the best of luck.”
Warren was involved in a sideline confrontation with receivers coach Frank Wilson during the Vols’ loss to Auburn on Saturday night. The Knoxville News-Sentinel also reports that Warren tossed his helmet.
“We’ll give him full academic support to keep him going in school, and that’s the last I’m going to comment on it,” said Kiffin. “Very unfortunate.”
Warren is an East Tennessee native who transferred to UT from Florida State to be closer to his ailing mother.
